I am a first generation AmericanMy mother was born in Sweden and my father in Norway. My Norwegian grandfather was a ship designer and builder. He owned a shipyard. A job offer took him to Portland Oregon where he designed Sternwheelers form the Columbia River. My mom's parents had tickets for the Titanic but canceled due to a brother's serious accident. My mom and dad met in Portland. they married and had two kids; my brother and me. I went to high school and Art school in Portland. Later I moved to California because my best friend Sally, lived in San Francisco. I got married while there and had a son. Twenty years later I moved to Manzanita, Oregon.  After many years of rain and smoke, I moved to Central Oregon to be close to old family friends.
