families being evicted children looking at administration as they demolish their homes making way for the New Shillong Township in their lands. This was on the 8th November 2013

the MUDA (Meghalaya Urban Development Authority) brought in this JCB to demolish the homes of the villagers in this area to make way for the New Shillong Township

2. What do you feel is the most challenging part of what you do? (For example: how does defending rights affect your personal life?)

Officials and the Police brought in to assist the illegal eviction and this is most challenging as the State uses force to scare people of their land

Harmless villagers woke up to be evicted from their lands in Mawlong Mawtari Village, East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, India.
