My name is Ibrahim Bah. I studied English at Bronx Community College. Now I am in the IC3 computer training at BCC and a GED class at Lehman College.
I need English for work and for school, because it’s necessary to speak English in this country. Also at work, school, the store, and in the supermarket, you have to talk to people in English. I want to go to college, I want to be a computer engineer. That’s my motivation to join an adult education program.

2. What has changed in your life since you started your adult education class? How has adult education helped to support your goals and plans for the future?00:00Before, I didn’t speak English. Since I started an adult education class I speak English more confidently at work, school, the supermarket, with friends, and in my GED class. It helped me to make my English stronger. My dream is to go to college and become a computer engineer. I started this degree in my country and I will finish it.

3. What do you think would be different about NY or the world if everyone had the opportunity and support to continue their education?00:00We have eight billion people in the world. If everyone had this opportunity, it’s going to help everybody. There will be fewer people who don’t read and write, fewer people who live outside, don’t have homes and don’t have work. More people could be in school and get jobs. They would not be on the street taking drugs doing nothing. It’s going to help - the society to grow, more people creating companies, or imagining to create other things for the world, for society.
