I came to the HSE program with an aim of bettering my English to further my studies and go to college or University. I have always desired to have better English and believe that HSE would be a great program to achieve it.

2. What has changed in your life since you started your adult education class? How has adult education helped to support your goals and plans for the future?00:00In the beginning of my HSE class, I was scared, anxious, and afraid because first, I was a new member in the program, and secondly, I didn’t know how to express myself in a new culture. Being in this program has helped me in embracing American culture and getting out of my comfort zones. This program has brought me the feeling of being at home, loved, and appreciated. I am grateful and love the fact that I am journeying with the most amazing classmates and the most excellent teachers who devote themselves to their vocation and wish the best for their students. Looking back now, I can testify to how far I have come and grown in so many ways. The education, love, and support I receive from my teachers and my classmates give me hope for a better tomorrow with a grateful heart.

3. What do you think would be different about NYC or the world if everyone had the opportunity and support to continue their education?00:00There is this beautiful quote I love from Shai Reshef, “When you educate one person you can change a life, when you educate many, you can change the world.” This quote says it all, the more people are educated the more we will enjoy the company of each other in a better world.
